Presslyte

Deskripzioa

Presslyte is a front-end text editor for your existing WordPress website. Select highlighted wording where it appears, make a simple change, preview and save. Refresh the page to see your saved result.

Correct a sentence, update business hours or improve a heading without hunting through the dashboard for the supported text.

Included in Free

  • On-page editing of supported native WordPress paragraphs, headings and list text.
  • Preview, Save and optional autosave.
  • Typing Undo and Redo, saved History and local recovery.
  • Page navigation and favorite pages.
  • Local spelling suggestions and Find on this page.
  • Guided first-edit help, written guides and video tutorial links.

Presslyte Free works without a Presslyte account or license key. There is no editing quota. Your WordPress permissions control who can edit.

A clear editing boundary

Presslyte highlights text only when it can verify the saved native WordPress source. Choose a highlighted paragraph, heading or list item to begin. Page structure, forms, dynamic output, code and existing link destinations stay protected.

Use a compatible theme and supported native WordPress blocks. Preview your wording and check the saved page; longer text can naturally change wrapping and page height.

Privacy and external services

Editing and the built-in introduction do not require external services. Presslyte stores local editor preferences, recovery drafts, saved versions and editor attribution. WordPress privacy export and erasure tools are supported; erasure anonymizes attribution while preserving shared page content and recovery history.

The Learn area opens written guides at https://presslyte.com/product-updates/ and video tutorials at https://presslyte.com/tutorials/ only when selected. Presslyte does not fetch a learning feed, load remote lesson thumbnails or schedule lesson updates. See https://presslyte.com/privacy/ for the destination privacy policy.

Optional testing feedback is disabled by default. When an administrator enables it, sending the feedback form uses the site’s WordPress mail service to send the entered message, plugin version and optional reply email to support@presslyte.com. Sending requires an explicit user action.

Deactivation retains content and recovery records. Deleting the plugin retains settings and recovery history by default. The explicit erase-on-uninstall setting removes Free editor settings and recovery history while leaving published page content and stored mapped text intact.

MEG

What can I edit?

Supported native WordPress paragraph, heading and list text that Presslyte highlights on the page. Highlighting means Presslyte has verified the saved text source for that editing session.

Do I need an account or license key?

No. Presslyte Free uses your existing WordPress permissions and has no editing quota.

Is Presslyte a page builder?

No. It handles supported wording changes on an existing page. Keep page structure and design in the WordPress tools that manage them.

Can I preview a change?

Yes. Select Preview to check your wording. The toolbar’s Hide button also clears the editing marks while keeping the controls available.

Will my wording stay after a refresh?

A successful Save stores supported text in WordPress and refreshes the page with the persisted result. Check the page after saving.

Can I undo or recover an edit?

Use Undo and Redo while typing. History and the available recovery controls help you find saved versions and recover supported changes. Keep a normal site backup too.

Does spelling check change text automatically?

No. The local spelling tool offers suggestions for you to review.

Who can edit?

Users must have the required WordPress permissions for the content. Presslyte keeps server-side permission and source checks in place.

Where can I find help?

Use Help in the toolbar for the guided first edit, or open the written guides and video tutorials in Learn.
