Click to Chat & Order adds a clean, fast WhatsApp chat button to your site. Visitors tap it, their WhatsApp opens with a pre-filled message ready for you. No WhatsApp Business API, no Meta verification, no monthly fees — just paste your number and go.

How it works
The plugin uses WhatsApp’s standard wa.me/ click-to-chat links. There is no API key, no account linking, no per-message cost. Works with the free WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app on the merchant’s phone.

Privacy
This plugin makes zero external requests and stores no visitor data. The only data saved is the settings you enter in the admin screen.

- Upload the plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/, or install through Plugins Add New and upload the .zip. - Activate.
- Go to Settings Click to Chat and paste your WhatsApp number in international format (digits only, no plus sign).
- Save. The button appears site-wide.

Do I need the WhatsApp Business API?

No. The plugin uses standard click-to-chat links. The WhatsApp Business API is only required for automated outbound messages or chatbots, neither of which this plugin needs.

What number format do I use?

International format with country code, digits only, no leading plus. Example:

No. Total payload is under 6 KB, no external requests are made and the button is loaded with a configurable delay to avoid Cumulative Layout Shift on slow connections.

Does it work with WooCommerce?

The Free version adds a site-wide button only. The Pro version adds dedicated “Order on WhatsApp” buttons on product pages, variation-aware messages and a cart-to-WhatsApp checkout flow.
