Some WordPress installs use very elaborate navigation systems powered by core Menus. They’re a fantastic feature that can often make or break a theme. Menus aren’t very portable out of the box, however. If you’re looking to make a change to a Menu you’re pretty much working live without a quick way to revert back to an old version. That’s where Duplicate Menu comes in.

Duplicate Menu will allow you to create a second (or third, or fourth, etc.) copy of an existing Menu to do with what you will. It generates the clone on a programmatic level and recreates all necessary relationships to ensure the structure is retained as well.

Instalazioa

  1. Download the plugin and extract the files
  2. Upload duplicate-menu to your ~/wp-content/plugins/ directory
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

This plugin is a huge timesaver if you have big menus and want to recreate them with some changes, but you want to keep the original. This should be included as default in WordPress!

Doesn’t copy everything

If you are usign something like jet plugins, it wont copy over icons or any custom settings. Not much of a time saver actually.

This is one of the simplest plugins I've used (on its front - it might be complicated in its code, I don't know) - it does only a very simple action - but it does it well, and it's a great help for anyone needing to duplicate a menu. Thank you creator!

Thank you! Very good plugin! The only plugin I have found. Very simple, light and necessary! I got the necessary duplicates of the menu on the site quickly and without problems!
